James Suckling 91 points - A malbec with balance and drinkability that gives the wine a freshness and energy. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a light meat, berry and earth aftertaste. Drink now.
Wine Advocate 90 points - I liked the 2013 Malbec even better than the 2012. It is a blend of grapes from Uco and Lujan de Cuyo that was partly (70%) aged in oak barrels for one year. The nose is harmonious and shows some restraint, subtlety and elegance along with a certain complexity at such early age. The sweet spices are combined with aromas of violets that make it perfumed and attractive. The palate shows good balance, fine and sweet tannins plus some flavors from the oak. Very good example of Mendoza Malbec. 230,000 bottles produced.
