Vinous 92 points - (15% alcohol; 59% cabernet sauvignon, 20% shiraz, 6% merlot and 5% each cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot): Bright red-ruby. Vibrant aromas of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, licorice, mocha and chocolatey oak, lifted by a violet topnote. Silky and plush if quite young, offering lovely creamy depth to its dark fruit and chocolate flavors. Impressively dense and long, with substantial but edge-free tannins. Still a tad warm and in need of time in bottle to settle down. But this blend boasts outstanding potential.

Wine Advocate 89 points - The 2011 Proprietor’s Blend, namely 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Shiraz and 5% each of other Bordeaux varieties, has an intense mint-scented bouquet with subtle fish scale scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp, nicely poised opening. There is good weight here, fine acidity with a cedar and leather-infused finish. This is not a shy red blend, but it is well-crafted. Drink now-2016. (Oct 2013)
