Vinous 88 points - Bright red. Reduced nose offers dark cherry, smoky dark berries, game and musky underbrush. Taut and chewy in the mouth, in a distinctly more masculine style than the last couple of wines. Little easy sweetness here. The tannins are chewy and serious but nicely ripe. This will need at least a few years of cellaring.
88-90 Points (Jan 2013)
Wine Spectator 91 points - Juicy, sporting cherry, raspberry and currant flavors, shaded by smoke and eucalyptus accents. The oak stands out on the finish, which is spicy and long. The most approachable of the three Morot crus. Best from 2015 through 2022.—B.S. (Feb 12 2014)
