Established in 1936, Azienda Agricola De Angelis is located at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius, bordering Sorrento Bay, Campania. The estate’s owners, the De Angelis brothers, are recognized as leading producers of Lacrima Cristi del Vesuvio – the literal translation of which is Christ’s Tears of Vesuvius. All 20 acres of hillside vineyards face south/southwest and are planted on rich volcanic soils. The Rosso Lacrima is a blend of Piedirosso and Aglianico and the Bianco Lacrima Christi, is made from Caprettone and Falanghina. Wnemaker, Angelo Valentino was the former cellar master at Cantine Antonio Caggiano.
