Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2011 Dolcetto d’Alba shows lively fruit and blueberry followed by bright accents of bitter almond and dark chocolate. The wine is fleshy and chewy with a high fruit content that is offset by an elegant vein of crushed mineral or talc powder. Heat at the tail end of the growing season caused some grapes to dry on the vine for added fruit intensity. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015.  (Jun 2013)

At the Nada Fiorenza estate located in Treiso, Bruno Nada produces two beautifully structured examples of Barbaresco as well as other Langhe reds that have been receiving notable critical acclaim for several years now. In 1982, Bruno began to bottle wine from grapes grown by his father, Fiorenza, which were sold as bulk wine. Not satisfied with the results he began associating with the great producers of Barbaresco from the early 1980s, such as Gaja, Bruno Giacosa and Pio Cesare. He learned about terroir, lower yields and the positioning of the vineyards. The first bottles of Dolcetto d’Alba and Babaresco were produced in 1987. Today, Nada Fiorenzo winery is considered one of the most respected in the commune of Treiso. The harvesting is made by hand. The vineyards cover about 17 acres all within the Rombone and Manzola crus in Barbaresco.
