This well-balanced white offers notes of white peaches, red apples and pear. Fresh acidity marks the long and tangy finish.
The 14 acre Valori Estate is the latest gem in the Masciarelli crown. The family now owns and manages 1000 acres of vineyards, making it the largest organically farmed estate in Italy. The Valori vineyards and winery are planted on a hillside in the village of Sant’Omero in Abruzzo Italy, a mere six miles from the sea. The vineyards are planted on Montmorillonite soil and yields are held under four tons per acre. The red wines are vinified in the absence of oxygen to maintain natural expressions of minerality and deep, velvety ripe dark fruit. The white wines are fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and acidity.
|Fruit from six year old vines was fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel vats.
