Wine Spectator 88 points - There’s solid density to this ripe Merlot, which features juicy plum and black cherry notes woven with hints of grilled herb, spice and espresso crema. Supple, yet lightly earthy, too. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now. 1,000 cases made.-NW

Vinous 90 points - (mostly cabernet sauvignon, with syrah): Opaque ruby. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of cherry and cassis, with notes of licorice and vanilla building with air. Lush and creamy on entry, offering sweet dark fruit compote flavors and gentle spiciness. Turns tighter on the finish, which lingers with very good smoky persistence, leaving cherry-vanilla and anise notes behind.
