Fattoria San Leonino encompasses 247 acres, of which 110 acres are planted to vineyards. This vinemaking facility, in the Chianti Classic area, is neighbor to the most prestigious brands of Tuscan wine. This presents a diffuclt challenge and direct comparisons at the highest quality level.
As has been done at the other two vinemaking estates, restoration and renovation at Fattoria San Leonino have been made based on an exacting management style. This innovation gives the winery distinguished features among Chianti Classico producers.
Part of the vineyards have been replanted in the high-density method (3038 vines per acre) using a special prototype machine especially designed for planting and cultivation of these vineyards. This process has been made possible through the previous expereince and positive results achieved in the other two wineries.
At Fattoria San Leonino, as it is at the other two estates, the challenge is to find new solutions using modern technology without compromising, in the full respect of tradition which is respected, enriched and improved. With the same philosophy Fattoria San Leonino produces an olive oil with that satisfies all the rules of Tuscan production.
