The Syrah for this bottling is specially selected from the best parcels of the vineyards, and the Cabernet is picked really late – sur maturite, to ensure good structure and wonderful texture. A blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Syrah, this wine is aged for up to one year in barrel, and then bottled unfiltered.
It is dark ruby-violet in color, with juicy, jammy blue/black fruits with raspberry, currants and violets on the nose. Smooth and ripe in the mouth with dark berry, meat and smoke flavors - there are no hard edges in this wine. Always a favorite!
