It is a tribute to the value which Ruffino attributes to the reintroduction of the Chianti Superiore category - one of Tuscany’s most antique appellations.
Il Superiore is produced by grapes selected in low yield vineyards located in the Chianti area. No more that 7 tons of grapes per hectare are cultivated in these vineyards. Such a yield is even lower than the one produced in most Chianti Classico vineyards.
