Wine Advocate 90 points - The 2006 Chianti Classico Castello Fonterutoli is Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak. It is a dark, structured wine packed with considerable heft in its dark fruit, herbs, scorched earth, minerals and sweet spices. This powerful Chianti Classico needs time in bottle, as the tannins are rather imposing at this stage. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2018. (Aug 2009)
