“Yauquen” is a word from the native Mapuche language meaning “the ritual of sharing a drink amongst friends.” This is the entry-level, value line of wines from Ruca Malen, intended to be enjoyed in good company.
European by origin, the Bonarda grape is widely grown throughout Argentina. Ruca Malen Yauquen Bonarda is cultivated from vineyards in Mendoza. Blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry aromas define the bouquet, while the typical spicy notes of this varietal integrate harmoniously amongst them. Smoky, toasted notes appear from aging 40% of the wine for 6 months in French oak barrels. Fresh and juicy on the palate, this is a fruit-forward wine.
