Vinous 92 points - (50% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier; roughly 9 g/l dosage; L1323810113): Vivid orange-pink. High-toned aromas of fresh red berries, smoky minerals and orange peel, with a hint of buttered toast emerging with air. Spicy raspberry and strawberry flavors are supported by a firm spine of acidity and a refreshingly bitter orange pith nuance. At once silky and bright on the long, penetrating finish, which leaves a sexy rose pastille nuance behind.
Wine Spectator 94 points - A rich and toasty version, featuring roasted almond, brioche, honey and graphite notes. Vibrant acidity and a finely textured bead keep this mouthwatering. Drink now through 2020.—A.N. (Sep 25 2013)
Wine Enthusiast 91 points - This excellent producer makes a lovely, copper-colored rose, which sends up fresh and inviting aromas that suggest fresh-baked apple pastries. Baking spices, cinnamon in particular, liven up the scents and flavors, and the wine seems crisp, balanced and full in the mouth. It's a complete, nicely evolved wine, which seems to be at the peak of flavor. Score: 91. —Paul Gregutt, December 01, 2006. (Dec 2006)
