The Illinois Valley is the coolest area in So. Oregonís Rogue Valley Appellation. It benefits from the same warm summer days as the rest of the area, but our closeness to the ocean and 1500 ft elevation have a cooling influence that make this region well suited for Burgundian varietals like Pinot Noir, as well as Pinot Gris, Riesling and Chardonnay, which benefit from this type of climate.
|Wine maker notes
|Dark stone fruit aromas with some notes of cedar give way to flavors of licorice and black currants. Great up front and well rounded tannins give this wine a well structured balance that has a lasting finish.
