Site-specific, mature vineyards in the prime Paglieta and Pollutri districts of the Chieti region of the Abruzzi.
| Wine maker notes |
| Select handpicked grapes are vinified using traditional methods and allowed to macerate 15 days at a controlled temperature of 77°F before decanting into stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in a combination of Slavonian oak barrels and French oak barriques for 24 months, with additional refinement in the bottle for six months before release. Enjoyable in youth, Caroso can sustain up to a decade in aging. |
