THE AGED TAWNIES reflect the art of oak ageing ; tawny port develops a rich creamy texture from the wood becoming more intense, golden amber in colour. Over times it takes on complex characteristics of walnuts, driedfruits and spices with a long peppery finish.
Pale tawny colora powerful intense, concentrated wine.
Good structure and balance. Characteristic dried fruit and
nuts on the nose and palate.
Wine Spectator 91 points - An elegant and refined tawny, with loads of spicy notes to the plum tart, sandalwood and baked cherry flavors. Vanilla and spice accents fill the finish, featuring fresh details of citrus peel and ground nutmeg. Drink now.-K.M. (Nov 26 2014)
