In the late 1930's, our grandfather, Irv Bliss, first vistied Mendocino County and spotted a pictureque ranch among the rolling hills and unspoiled land. Years later, when Irv learned of a Mendocino property for sale, he placed a bid- sight unseen. As fate would have it, the plot Irv purchased was the original 450-acre estate that had captivated his imagination years before. Sixty years later, we still carry Irv's love for the land through our third generation of family farmers. We celebrate Irv's legacy by putting our own Bliss into every bottle of wine we produce.
