Wine Enthusiast 90 points - This is a beautiful, full rose that is rich and shows a fine balance between acidity and fruitiness. This bottling is also mature with toastiness coming through, giving a softer, rounder character. There is weight, and great acidity on the finish. (Dec 2013)
Wine Advocate 87 points - Virtually identical in encepagement to the corresponding white, but incorporating red Pinot from Bouzy, Clicquots 2004 Brut Rose offers abundance of fresh, juicy sour cherry accented with black tea and leather, a fine grain of tannin lending stimulation in a finish otherwise dominantly fruity and a bit extraneously sweet. I would plan on drinking this soon. (Nov 2013)
The base blend is identical to Brut Yellow Label, with an addition of 12% of red wine from vineyards in the Montagne de Reims. A luminous color with attractive pink glints, an elegant nose with initial aromas of fresh red fruit leading to brioche notes
