Magnificent ruby red colour with purpletones.
Great aromatic potential that develops in the glass to reveal coffee, leather and jam with toasted nuances. Aromas that change enticingly according to the moment.
Wonderful expression on the palate and mouth-wateringly appealing. The tasting sensation is rounded off with a lingering finish.
Wine Advocate 87 points - The 2004 Marbore is a blend of 50% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the balance Parraleta and Moristel. It was aged in new French barriques for 16-18 months. Dark ruby-colored, the nose offers up earth notes, mineral, pencil lead, leather, black cherry, and black currant. On the palate it reveals a forward personality, some elegance, and plenty of spicy fruit. It will evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now through 2020. (Jun 2009)
