Captivating aromas of apricot, nectarine, citrus, almond and vanilla. The wine displays a complex array of botrytis flavours together with peach, nectarine, zingy citrus, and almond characters. Vanillin oak characters add complexity. Extremely luscious with a lingering finish, the wine nevertheless finishes with balanced fresh acidity.
Wine Spectator Rating:92 Points
For more than 20 years Noble One, which was created by a youthful Darren De Bortoli in 1982, has been regarded as Australia’s benchmark dessert wine.
Darren, a great fan of French Sauternes recognised the potential to make a dessert wine from grapes affected by botrytis cinerea or ‘Noble Rot’ in the Riverina, where the family wine company is based.
The wine created a sensation when it was released and has become one of world’s most highly awarded and sought after wines.

Wine Spectator Review:
Sweet and silky, this is complex with apricot, dried pear, wet hay and cream flavors that persist into the long, deftly balanced finish. Not at all sugary. Ends with mouthwatering lemon notes. Drink now through 2018. 4,000 cases made. –HS |
