Chateau Gloria St. Julien 2009  750ml
Gloria has long been one of the most popular wines in America, but I do not believe they have ever made better wines than they have over the last decade, and the 2009 is one of their finest. While this estate is not a classified growth, it certainly performs like one in 2009. A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by an expressive, flamboyant bouquet of black fruits, Christmas spices, licorice ... click for more details

Chateau Duhart-Milon Pauillac 2010  750ml
Robert Parker Review:
Dense purple, with classic notes of cedar and lead pencil shavings as well as gobs of back currants and licorice, the wine has a full-bodied mouthfeel with fabulous precision and density. It also possesses a long, silky finish with moderately high tannins, but they are ripe and well-integrated. The wood is clearly pushed to the background in this dense, full-bodied  click for more details

Chateau Gloria 2010  750ml
Robert Parker Review:
The 2010 Gloria is an ass-kicking, fabulous value once again from this estate, which would probably be classified if the 1855 hierarchy of the wines of the Medoc were ever done again. Abundant notes of cedar wood, fruitcake, flowers, creme de cassis and kirsch are all present in this full-bodied, opulent, dense, dark ruby/purple wine. It is slightly more ... click for more details

Chateau Poujeaux Moulis En Medoc 2009  750ml
Robert Parker 93 Points
"The Cuvelier family that has done so much to resurrect Clos Fourtet purchased this estate that had long been the pride and joy of the Theil family. A large vineyard, and certainly the finest wine of the somewhat forgotten appellation of Moulis, the yields in 2009 were 40 hectoliters per hectare, and the wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, ... click for more details

Chateau Cantemerle Haut-Medoc 2010  750ml
Robert Parker Review:
The wine needs a good 7-10 years of cellaring and should keep for 30 more years, but this is the finest Cantemerle I have encountered in my professional career of tasting young vintages (dating back 34 years now). Stunningly deep ruby/purple, with a beautiful nose of spring flowers intermixed with perfumed raspberry and blueberry notes, it exhibits a sort of cool-... click for more details

Chateau Leoville Poyferre Saint Julien 2010  750ml
The wines of Château Léoville Poyferré are first distinguished by their considerable aromatic complexity ranging from red fruits, such as cherry, to mushroom for older vintages.

Thanks to its terroir, Léoville Poyferré displays a magnificent balance between alcohol, acidity and tannins. The wine develops a sumptuous velvet quality in addition to plenty of elegance and finesse, altogether ... click for more details

Chateau Gloria St. Julien 2008  750ml
Robert Parker Review:
A stunning sleeper of the vintage, this beautiful, already irresistible, plum/garnet-colored 2008 is a wine to purchase by the case. It possesses a dense plum/purple color, a glorious perfume of Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood, black currants, jammy cherries and licorice, medium to full body and a silky personality. It will provide both a hedonistic and ... click for more details

Chateau Batailley Pauillac 2011  750ml
An attractive nose of creme de cassis, earth and oak jumps from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored wine. A classic, impressive effort from the Casteja family, this 2011 transcends the vintage character, and is an unqualified success as well as a major sleeper of the vintage. Structured, rich, medium to full-bodied, pure and layered, it should be at its finest in 3-4 years, and keep for ... click for more details

Chateau Belgrave Haut-Medoc 2010  750ml
I tasted the 2010 Belgrave several times and found it less impressive than I had hoped it would be, since I wrote it was a sleeper of the vintage from barrel. Nevertheless, the wine is still excellent. Dark ruby purple, slightly austere and closed, but exhibiting some tobacco leaf, black currant, vanillin, spice and earth, it should drink nicely for 15 or more years.... click for more details

Chateau d'Armailhac Pauillac 2011  750ml
Bright medium ruby. Subtle, vinous aromas of blackcurrant, sour red cherry, violet and minerals. Sweet and silky on entry, then tight in the middle, showing terrific purity and verve to the flavors of red fruits, sweet spices and flowers. Finishes sappy and lightly saline, with fine tannins and outstanding length. This terrific, perfumed wine is heavily marked by its cabernet franc presence.... click for more details

This has a crunchy feel, with brambly acidity and an energetic core of damson plum, red currant, lilac and chalk. Stays refreshing through the finish, showing a pleasant austerity and fine length. Drink now through 2022. 10,833 cases made. -JM

Chateau de Pez St. Estephe 2013  750ml
Good full ruby-red. Expressive aromas of red cherry, blackcurrant and chocolate, with a hint of roasted oak and lovely violet lift. Deep, rich and sweet, with an enticing flavor of crystallized blackcurrant complicated by red berry, leather and floral elements. Unusually silky tannins for the year on the lingering mineral-accented finish. Super wine with what seems to be real potential for the ... click for more details

Chateau Grand-Puy Ducasse Pauillac 2012  750ml
This is another estate in Pauillac that has dramatically raised its performance level over the last decade. The 2012, from grapes harvested between October 2 and 17, has supple tannins and a nice mouthfeel that builds incrementally, offering up plenty of creme de cassis, plum and blackberry fruit. The wine is soft, round, opulently textured, and an undeniable success for 2012. The purity of fruit  click for more details
